Dear Rich Township High School Families,
We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you about an important decision regarding the upcoming school day.
Due to the extreme weather conditions forecasted for Tuesday, January 16th, with an expected wind chill reaching 30 below zero – which is our threshold for safety considerations – we have decided to transition to an e-learning day. This decision is made out of an abundance of care for our families and their well-being.
• Schoology is the primary mode of communication for e-learning instructions and interactions with your teachers.
The safety and comfort of our students are our number one priority, and in these severe weather conditions, it is not safe for them to travel to and from school. We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, but we believe it is necessary to ensure the safety of our school community.
Please note that all school activities and programs scheduled for this day are cancelled.
We encourage families to stay warm and safe during this extreme weather. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Dear Raptor Families,
We hope this message finds you warm and safe. Due to the significant snowfall and challenging driving conditions, we have decided to close the school for the day. We prioritize the safety of our students, staff, and families, and believe this is the best decision under the current weather circumstances.
Please stay tuned for further updates regarding school operations in the coming days. We encourage everyone to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel.
