Click here for the Weekly Update Video  Quarterly Academic Approach Assessment (Grades 9-11)  On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, students in Grades 9-11 will participate in a digital Academic Approach assessment lasting approximately one hour. This will mimic a shortened ACT and help teachers provide targeted support and adjust instruction.  Late Start: Testing begins at 9:25 AM, and the school day concludes at 3:20 PM.  Students must bring a charged Chromebook.  Seniors will have dedicated senior sessions during this time.  College and Career Fair  Mark your calendars for our annual College & Career Fair on Thursday, October 10th at 10:00 AM at FAC Campus! With over 40 colleges, universities, and organizations participating, students will have the chance to explore a variety of post-secondary options and career paths. Don’t miss this valuable opportunity to make connections and plan for the future!  Pre ACT and Pre ACT 8/9 (Grades 9-11)  On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, students in Grades 9-11 will take the Digital Fall Pre ACT. This three-hour assessment provides valuable insights on predicted ACT scores and identifies areas for improvement before the spring 2025 ACT.  ·         Late Start: Testing begins at 9:25 AM, with the school day concluding at 3:20 PM.  ·         There will be no make-up for this assessment.  ·         Students must bring a charged Chromebook. Juniors who take this assessment and meet program entry requirements will be eligible for the National Merit Scholarship Program, an academic competition for scholarships and recognition.  Additionally, students will be able to:  ·         Track progress from previous assessments (PSAT 8/9 or PSAT 10).  ·         Receive personalized AP course recommendations.  ·         Access customized career and college planning resources through Big Future. Today RTHS students got to explore the vibrant Columbia College campus in downtown Chicago. They toured the state of the art facilities , student life, innovative programs, and met faculty. This was a great experience for the students to see university life.
